Graduate school

Graduate school is a path for students and working people who want to deepen their study based on what they have learned in undergraduate school. Our graduate school consists of two courses. The Graduate School of Language and Culture is primarily directed at learning and researching language itself, along with the cultural phenomena on which it is based, all in a comprehensive manner. The Graduate School of Human Life Science is directed at learning and researching various aspects of human life, based on a foundation of domestic sciences. Our graduate school has adopted both day and night course and coeducational system, so that a wide range of students can take advantage of the educational opportunities they offer.

Graduate School of Language and Culture/Japanese Language and Culture

Students deepen and develop what they have learned in the Department of Japanese Language and Literature. The course consists of a two-year Master窶冱 course and a three-year Doctorate course, thus providing students with advanced learning in accordance with their own goals.

Graduate School of Language and Culture/English Language and Culture

Students deepen and develop what they have learned in the Department of English Language and Literature. The course consists of the two-year Master窶冱 course and the three-year Doctoral course, giving students the means of learning that suit their personal goals.

Graduate School of Human Life Science/Life and Culture

Students deepen and develop what they have learned in the Department of Life Design and Information Science. A Master窶冱 degree can be obtained by completing the two-year Master窶冱 course. Students can participate in advanced learning according to their goals.

Graduate School of Language and Culture/Life Science

Students deepen and develop what they have learned in the Department of Life Design and Information Science and the Department of Nutrition and Health Promotion. A Master窶冱 degree can be obtained through completion of the corresponding two-year course. Students can participate in advanced learning according to the goals they have set.

Day and Night Course

We offer lectures during the evening as well as during the day. Students can take lectures according to their schedules.

Coeducational System

Our graduate school has introduced a coeducational system in order to create an open education and research institute. The graduate school is also open to international students and working people.
