The beginning of the second semester is the time when we hand out the latest STARS certificates to our students. Our students are awarded STARS certificates based on their scores in public English tests such as TOEIC or Eiken. This time we focus on two first-year students, IU and YI, who both gained 2-star certficates at the first time of asking. Congratulations to them both, and to the other STARS award winners from throughout the department.

Students are encouraged to set goals for themselves and to find a variety of ways to improve their English levels and, consequently, their STARS award levels. On addition to their classes, students self-study for the TOEIC test, and find ways to make English a part of their everyday lives.

For IU and YI, their next goal is to get the 3-STARS award. Good luck to all our students in their goals to continually improve their English levels and move higher up the STARS award ladder!
