A new academic year has started. We are delighted to welcome our new students to HJU and to the Department of International English. The students are already getting to know the campus, their fellow students, and the teachers, too.

We have just held our entrance ceremony. Thankfully the weather was good and the students could spend time with new friends under the cherry blossoms.

The students learned all about the department and the university during our Department Program, and everyone looked very smart in their suits.
（スーツを着た学生たちは、大学生としてのはじめの一歩を歩み始め、素敵な姿を見せてくれました。）

We were particularly delighted to see so many smiling faces, and great communication between students at such an early stage. We could sense the anticipation that the students felt for their time at HJU over the next four years.
（1年生たちが皆笑顔で互いに楽しそうに話している姿が印象的でした。これからの4年間、この女学院大学で充実した時間を過ごしてほしいと思います。）
