This is the fifth and final report from our students studying in Canada - this contribution was kindly written by S.O.（カナダ留学の現地リポートの最終回をお届けします。）

先日、4ヶ月間の留学を終え、5名とも無事に帰国することができました。帰国の際にはバンクーバー行きの便が遅延する等といったトラブルもありましたが、私達5名で協力しながら乗り切れたことで確かな成長を感じることができました。

最後の現地レポートでは、私の帰国前の思い出を紹介します。帰国の1週間程前に、ハウスメイトが最後のディナー会を開いてくれて、皆でCactus Club Cafeというレストランでディナーを食べました。パスタやヤムフライ、ケーキなどを頼み皆でシェアしましたが、どれもとても美味しかったです。ヤムフライはさつまいもをスティック状にして揚げた食べ物で、日本で馴染みはないですが、普通のフライドポテトとは違う甘い味が美味しかったです。帰国前ということもあり、皆で4ヶ月を振り返って語り合えたのが寂しくもありながらとても楽しく、忘れられない思い出となりました。

またオカナガンカレッジでは、Potluckというパーティーが開催され、皆がそれぞれの国の料理を持ち寄って、異国の食文化を楽しみました。私はコロンビア人の友人が作ったエンパナーダという料理を食べましたが、カリッとした生地の中に牛肉などの具材が入っており、とても美味しかったです。パクチー等が入ったソースをつけると、日本にはないスパイシーな味になり、異国の食文化の面白さを感じました。

今回の留学生活で様々なことを学び、貴重な経験を沢山得ることができました。出発前は初めての海外生活に不安が大きかったですが、優しいホストファミリーやハウスメイトに助けられ、とても楽しく充実した4ヶ月間を過ごすことができたと感じています。日本でも、今回の留学生活で得た経験を活かしながら頑張っていきたいと思います。

We recently completed our four-month study abroad program and went back to Japan. When we left Kelowna, there was a problem. However, we cooperated as a team of five and overcame it.

I'll introduce my memories before leaving Kelowna in this report. My housemates held a dinner party for me. We had dinner at Cactus Club Cafe. We shared everything and it was very delicious. We talked a lot because I was going back to Japan soon. My feeling was a little lonely, but memorable.

Also, there was a Potluck party at Okanagan College. Every student brought food from different countries and enjoyed different food cultures. I ate empanadas. They were very delicious and a little spicy, so it was interesting to experience food culture from other countries.

I learned many things through this study abroad experience. Before coming to Kelowna, I was nervous about living overseas for the first time. However, I was helped by my kind host family and housemates. I had a fulfilling four months. I will do my best in Japan while using what I learned from this experience.

It is clear that S.O, as well as the other students, had a wonderful experience in Canada. We are looking forward to hearing all their stories in detail when they are back on campus here in Hiroshima.（今年も留学をした学生たちは、皆それぞれカナダで素晴らしい体験ができました。帰国後も、その経験をぜひたくさんの人に伝えてください。楽しみにしています！）
